The Museum of Contemporary Art of University of São Paulo honors its main founder, Francisco Matarazzo Sobrinho (1898-1977), with the exhibition Ciccillo – Acervo MAC USP, which is going to be opened on February 9th, at 6:30p.m. The exhibition - with 121 works of art of the Museum - highlights the initiative and the potential proposed by the business man and Maecenas: to create a contemporary art collection with international dimensions. Besides presenting the initiative of a personal collection transformed into public patrimony, the exhibition intends to motivate and publicize the continuity of donations to MAC USP, emphasizing the importance of his attitude, donating important works of art of his time to University de São Paulo.
