Antony Gormley (b. 1950, London) creates sculptures, installations and public works that investigate the relationship of the human body to space. He uses his own body as a template for sculptures. In 1994 he was awarded the Turner Prize. Gormley studied at the Cambridge University; the Central School of Art and Design; Goldsmiths College; and at the Slade School of Art.
