BLAŽEJ BALÁŽ

1958 born in Nevoľné, district Žiar nad Hronom, Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia)
1973-77 studied at Department of Metal Engraving at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Kremnica
1977-83 studied at Department of Free Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Bratislava (O.Dubay, V.Gažovič)
1985 freelance artist
1990-93 member of the Gallery Board of the Ján Koniarek Gallery (state gallery) in Trnava
1992 started his pedagogical activity
1992 short study stay in Spain (Madrid,Barcelona)
1994 Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education of the Trnava University in Trnava
1996 habilitated as Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava
1997 appointed member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Education at the Trnava University in Trnava
1999 won the competition for the post of the Head of the Department of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Education at the
Trnava University in Trnava
2003 appointed member of the Scientific Board of the Trnava University in Trnava
