Guerrilla Girls, a collective of anonymous artists, filmmakers, writers, was founded in 1985 on the occasion of a women's demonstration, to an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where only 13 women were out of 163 participants. The group members appear in public provocations under codenames and with a gorilla mask.
