short biography

Suzanne Treister (b. 1958, London) is a conceptual artist. In her text-image watercolours she communicates public messages in the style of visual poetry.
Treister studied at St Martin's School of Art, London and Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.

Her imaginary alterego is 'Rosalind Brodsky' (1970-2058). Brodsky works at the Institute of Militronics and Advanced Time Interventionality (IMATI) and travels through time using her special Electronic Time Traveling Costumes. Brodsky has also hosted her Cookery Shows in her kitchen, deconstructing culturally specific foods in matching costumes and blending them into critical trans-temporal dishes.
