press release

This group exhibition showcases the results of research into a subject that has been little studied until now: the connections, affiliations and divergences between the work of Pablo Picasso and a select group of German artists who were his contemporaries, and artworks that were painted in the figurative tradition.

MPM will be showing works by Pablo Picasso, Max Beckmann, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Lucas Cranach the Younger, Otto Dix, Max Ernst, George Grosz, Erich Heckel, Hannah Höch, Wassily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, August Macke, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Otto Mueller, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.

The exhibition runs through mutually complementary records.
