GFLK Halle Süd, Tölz

The exhibition “redundancy” was developed over the period of three months on the site itself. The exhibition focuses on a younger generation of artists from Munich, which is put in conjunction with international positions. The building is a relic of the 20th Century. Its function as a pump room in a health resort has now become obsolete. Redundancy (Latin redundare - to overflow, to regorge plenty) refers to the additional presence of several equivalent resources, repeated occurrences of the same information, for the understanding of the overall context not necessary. A unit of information is redundant, if it can be omitted without loss.
