artists & participants
Then + Now: Evolving Art Practices is an exhibition featuring selected artists from the University College Cork art collection. The exhibition sets up a dialogue between older and newer works, exploring how artistic practices have developed over time and through different media.
Interviews with the participating artists will be recorded throughout the duration of the exhibition in order to create a video archive for scholarly and public use, providing an insight into the working minds of artists who continue to shape the history of Irish art.
The opening will be preceded by a public discussion with several of the artists participating in the exhibition at 5pm on Monday 20 July 2009. Afterparty from 8pm at the Bodega, St. Peter’s Market, Cork.
