press release

'Urban Dramas', the first exhibition of the season, shows the narrative aspects of the urban environment, employing video projections and photos of thirteen international artists. The exhibition does not approach the city, the ultimate source of inspiration for the architect, as a rational object of planning, but rather as a matter of fact, as a phenomenon, a biosphere, as fertile ground for diverse stories and legends. 'Urban Dramas' does not show the city in the way of a passive and static background, but as a generator and a metaphor of life itself. The perception of urban space has been subjected to artistic intervention, either contextual, manipulative or fictitious: unsettling relations and human passion, suspense and crime, natural disasters and psychodramas, boredom and corruption get a chance, no less than urban clich├ęs and cosmopolitan revelation.
