Barbara Kasten (b. 1936, Chicago), based in Chicago, is a conceptual artist, who works with painting, sculpture, architecture, photography to explore the relationship between volume and the presence of light and shadow. She studied at California College of the Arts, Oakland and at University of Arizona, Tucson.
