Caro Jost (born 1965 in Munich / Germany) is a painter, object and concept artist, based in Munich and New York. In 2010 she began to search for traces of Abstract Expressionists in New York. She visited and researched the former artist studios, recorded and filmed what is still visible from the places where art history is written today. And she founded EYES ONLY, a non-profit art space with the focus on an exchange of ideas and international art projects, in which the classical distribution of roles between artist, gallery, museum, curator and collector are (to be) disbanded. Caro Jost studied at the Art Students League in New York and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Jean-Marc Bustamante.
