Duro Olowu (born in Lagos, Nigeria) is a fashion designer and curator. Olowu's first collection in 2004 was a critical hit in the fashion world. It featured the Duro dress, which was awarded by Vogue as the dress of the year 2005. Also in 2004 he won the New Designer of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards.
