Renée Green (b. 1959, Cleveland, Ohio) is a filmmaker, installation artist and author, based in New York and Vienna. She makes material images, installations, objects, film, video and research. Her work has been shown at the Venice Biennale and the Berlin Biennale in 2002 and at documenta 11 in Kassel in 2002. She was a professor at the San Francisco Art Institute and has been a professor at MIT in Cambridge since 2011. Renée Green studied at Parsons New School for Design, New York, Wesleyan University and participated in the Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art.
