The architect team SANAA was founded in 1995 by Kazuyo Sejima (b. 1956, Ibaraki / Japan) and Ryue Nishizawa (b. 1966, Tokyo). Kazuyo Sejima was the curator of the 12th Architecture Biennial in Venice. Ryue Nishizawa studied at Yokohama National University, where he was a professor for Architecture. The team was awarded the Pritzker Price in 2010.
