Sol Calero (born 1982, Caracas, Venezuela), based in Berlin, founded the Berlin project room Kinderhook & Caracas together with Christopher Kline in 2011. She is the initiator of the online TV platform Conglomerate. In her large-scale installations she often transformes functional spaces: galleries become hairdressing salons or internet cafés, a museum was transformed into a wellness oasis. In 2017 she was nominated for the Preis der Nationalgalerie - Hamburger Bahnhof Museum, Berlin and the Future Generation Art Prize: PinchukArtCentre, Kiev. Calero studied at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad de la Laguna in Tenerife.
