Anri Sala

Anri Sala was born in Albania in 1974, studied in France and now lives in Berlin. Sala has exhibited internationally since he participated in the European contemporary art biennale Manifesta 3, in 2000.

In 2013 he will be representing France at the Venice Biennale. Anri Sala creates films in which music and sound are central narrative elements. By creating precise overlaps and pauses dialogue form between the different works of art and use of music and sound structures the viewers' experience. Sala's themes are the political spfere and personal relationships. The exhibit has been realized in collaboration with Museum De Pont, Holland, where it will show in the Summer of 2013
