Artists Anonymous : Leipzig Jigsaw Massacre

Artists Anonymous dissolve the boundaries between painting, photography, video, installation and performance. Through their work on the dividing line between painting and photography they have developed processes to photographically reverse the colours of their negatively painted pictures, so that a so called “after-image” is produced. The contrast between the negatively painted picture and its reversal makes it possible to compose, form and colour in a totally new way. In this process the artists replaces the camera in producing a negative image. The work always has a personal origin, but unfolds a much wider reaching meaning.
