Contemporary German Art

This exhibition highlights works from SFMOMA’s rich holdings of contemporary German art in a range of media — painting, sculpture, installation, and photography — by artists including Katharina Fritsch, Georg Herold, Rebecca Horn, Martin Kippenberger, and Sigmar Polke, among others. Rather than proposing any stylistic unity or national trends, this exhibition provides an overview of some of the radically diverse art practices taking place in Germany during the past two decades.
