Diego Rivera. Pride of Mexico

Diego Rivera is considered the representative of Mexican muralists and an indispensable reference in universal art. The exhibition belonging to the cultural heritage of the State of Veracruz, includes 34 pieces representing the creative talent of 52 years of Master Rivera. From landscapes created in 1904 to figurative paintings of 1956, the works are the result of several techniques such as painting, aquarelle, collage, and pencil, coal and ink drawings.

This collection includes landscapes, still life, portraits, nudes and scenes of daily life, representing different phases in art history such as naturalism, cubism and indigenous daily life scenes that deeply influenced Mexican painters of his time. Several pieces of this collection are unique since they belong to the group of works made by Master Rivera during his stay in Europe, many of which were forgotten or destroyed by the artist himself; one more reason to enjoy this great exhibition, which is now to be shown in Asia for the first time.
