Between Rembrandt and Vermeer… there was Ter Borch. Enjoy an intimate look at 17th-century Dutch life in nearly fifty exquisite master works by Gerard ter Borch. Transforming the mundane into the magnificent, Ter Borch painted his world with elegance and grace. His scenes of everyday life travel through time, allowing us to see ourselves in these rare masterpieces.

Gerard ter Borch was organized by the American Federation of Arts, New York, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington. This exhibition was supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities. In Detroit, support has been provided by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the City of Detroit.
