Human Conditions

İstanbul Museum of Modern Art opens a new photography exhibition titled "Human Conditions" that features photographs by Sıtkı Kösemen, and Ergün Turan and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek on September the 10th at the Photography Gallery.

The exhibition is curated by Engin Özendes. On one of the gallery walls, photographs taken by Ergün Turan and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek of people passing by the street in their most natural moods will be displayed; on the other wall, photographs by Sıtkı Kösemen of people "playing the death" will take place. Overall 52 photographs will be exhibited. The "Human Conditions" exhibition will be open until 25 January 2009.

The exhibition brings together Sıtkı Kösemen’s people performing a kind of protest by "playing death" and Ergün Turan’s and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek’s different passer-bys, in 52 photographs. "Human Conditions" expects new stories to be created by the audience on the numbered photographs in the exhibition notebook.
