Jane Alexander

This solo exhibition, curated by OVA, will present new work by South African artist Jane Alexander, alongside a selection of her older works

Alexander's work typically employs a wide range of approaches including installation, photo-based work and sculpture. With a physical and spiritual intensity, Alexander deals with vital social and political issues - such as the impact of apartheid.

Her work transcends territories and borders, and in a confrontational way brings us closer to an understanding of life and death.

Jane Alexander studied Fine Art at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Her work has been shown in South Africa, and in major international exhibitions including the Venice Biennale. Pressetext
