Jiri Cernicky

Jiri Cernicky (born 1966, lives in Prague) belongs to a group of Czech artists whose work has broken onto the international art scene in recent years. In his home country, his exhibitions have received great attention and respect, especially after he was awarded the Jindrich Chalupecky Prize in 1998. Cernicky expresses himself through various different media, yet a psychological research into aspects of social phenomena always connects his work.

The guest of the exhibition is Tomas Vanek (born 1966, lives in Prague), the Jindrich Chalupecky Prize holder from 2001. Guests of the opening are Petr Lysacek, Pavel Mrkus and Martin Zet.
