John M Armleder

Pour conclure son cycle Mille et trois plateaux, le Mamco accueille cet automne une grande exposition de John M Armleder. Peintures, murs peints, dessins, sculptures, installations, photographies, pièces sonores, performances, films et documents occuperont l’essentiel du musée. Sans constituer une véritable rétrospective, les œuvres choisies ou créées pour la circonstance couvriront l’ensemble du parcours artistique de cet artiste majeur. De plus, une dizaine de salles proposeront de nouvelles présentations des collections accrochées par John M Armleder lui-même.

This Fall Mamco will present an important exhibition of John M Armleder, which will conclude its cycle Mille et trois plateaux. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, wall-paintings, installations, photographs, sound pieces, performances, films and documents will take up most of the museum’s exhibition space. Without constituting a retrospective, these pieces, both selected or on-site produced, will offer an overview of the artist’s career. In addition, John M Armleder will curate the installation of about ten new galleries featuring the museum’s collection.
