Juneau/projects/ is a collaborative practice which, through video, sound and performance pieces engage with the duality and paradoxes of our relationship with the electronic items that surround us and the locations in which we find them. Consumer objects such as mobile phones, CD walkmans, computers, televisions and tape machines, all find their way into becoming vehicles for an examination of our alienation from the things that populate our lives. While finding ourselves increasingly reliant on such items and in love with gadgetry, frustrations simultaneously develop as mechanics breakdown, our expectations dashed by the promise of an efficient, time-saving future that might never be.
