Loulou Cherinet

Loulou Cherinet is mainly working with photography, video and performance and many of her projects are somewhere in between documentary and fiction. One of the most talked about works is the video "White women" (2002). Eight black men are sitting at a round table and each of them is telling a story of his experience with Swedish women. Some of them are happy stories of marriage and children and some of them are bitter stories of abuse and racism.

Loulou Cherinet graduated from Addis Ababa University School of Fine Arts in Ethiopia in 2000 and she is currently a student at The Royal Art Academy in Stockholm.
