The idea for this piece I got from Mladen Stilinovic's work An artist who does not speak English is no artist. I thought, this is so much true, and I started wondering what other requirements – which finally do not have anything to do with artistic creation - one has to fulfill in order to be considered an artist. In the work that I developed, I formulated some of these requirements, and tried to visualize them. Thinking about it, I become aware of the fact that the way the artists work nowadays and the image the artists have in the society changed significantly, and does not correspond to the traditional image of an artist (as a suffering genius).
