For the Nova Sector at Art Basel Miami Beach 2015 Pilar Corrias presents a group show of works by Ken Okiishi, Rachel Rose, and Alice Theobald. The presentation explores the use of repetition and mirroring in the construction of narrative and modalities of perception. Okiishi’s multiplication of surfaces created by data feedback on flat screen monitors and the reflection of the fair environment in mirrors, is offset by Rose’s transformation of typographic prints made through distortion and repetition, and Theobald’s slight alteration of meaning in the cyclical rehearsing of a soap-operatic narrative.
