Ross Sinclair: Real Life

Knäpper+baumgarten are pleased to announce the first solo exhibition in Scandinavia with the british artist Ross Sinclair from Scotland.

Ross Sinclair was born 1966 and lives and works near Glasgow in Scotland. While music was his youthful pitch, it´s the visual territory of ordinary life that holds his art together.

If not preforming his art Ross Sinclair takes his art to the streets – in forms of murals and neon billboards, like ads we have forgotten to analyse.

In the paintings shown at knäpper+baumgarten his Real Life is stripped down to basic, to paint and mdf, there is no music or flags, yet works in a Jasper Johns emblematic style.

What interests Ross Sinclair is how we go from a to b, how we got to where we are at the moment.
