Visual artist and musician Satch Hoyt will present improvised, self-conducted "soundscapes" on flute, percussion, and toys, with special guest Charles Fambro.

London born Satch Hoyt is a visual artist, musician, and member of the band Burnt Sugar. He has composed, arranged and played with Stomu Yamashta in London; Grace Jones in Paris; Louise Bourgeois in collaboration with Ramuntcho Matta in Paris; and various artists in Kenya. He has acted as musicologist and commentator on Music of Kenya, part of the BBC's Music About Us series. An accomplished visual artist, he has exhibited around the world in venues that include The New Museum of Contemporary Art and Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Tate Liverpool Biennial, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, The Opera Gallery in Singapore, The Contempora Gallery in Caracas and the DDB in Paris. In 2002 he was awarded a New York State Council on the Arts grant. In addition, he has held numerous residencies including CrossPathCulture in Johannesburg, South Africa and Art Omi International Artists Colony.
