The La Caze Collection

Upon his death, in 1869, Louis La Caze, an endearing personality and philanthropist, bequeathed his exceptional collection of 584 old paintings, including a wealth of important works by Watteau, Chardin, Fragonard, Rembrandt, Rubens, Ribera and others.
