Together and apart

Between 1972 and 1982 Dieter Roth (1930–1998), one of the most influential creators of the post-war period, worked together with Arnulf Rainer (1929) on a series of works combining photography, painting, drawing, engraving, image and sound. These works, which were presented in largely unknown galleries in the 1970’s, form part of this project in which another section contains Rainer’s work from the 1968 – 1974 period. The third part of the project comprises series created by Rainer in Tenerife: small works and “Canaries”, large pieces on wood.
