The retrospective exhibition of Tomislav Gotovac, a renowned Croatian neo-conceptualist who passed away seven years ago, will present an overview of his six-decade long art career. The demonstration of his practice through various art mediums and different creative phases will be complemented by a comprehensive look into his extensive production.

The exhibition will present both older and newer works, made by the artist during the last years of his life. It will display his well-known projects and interventions, videos, various documents (examples of judicial processes, therapist’s visits, etc.), newspapers, collages, urban interventions, etc. A special emphasis will be given to his interventions and performance art from the 1970s, and to his particularly piercing video production. The exhibition, a collaboration with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka, will be the first comprehensive presentation of the artist’s extensive creative practice in Slovenia.
