Galerie im Regierungsviertel is pleased to announce the inauguration of GINNUNGAGAP / PAVILION OF BELIEF in Venice during the opening days of the Venice Biennial. GINNUNGAGAP / PAVILION OF BELIEF takes shape in an apartment and courtyard between Giardini and the Arsenale. Translated as "gaping gap" or "seeming emptiness", Ginnungagap was a vast windy emptiness that existed before the ordering of the world. GINNUNGAGAP / PAVILION OF BELIEF reflects on the creation of life and its initial chaotic circumstances and methods such as religion and belief operating as an attempt to gain a new order and orientation.
