XXIIe Ateliers internationaux

This spring, as part of our partnership with the Parc culturel de Rentilly, we came up with the idea of inviting the Frac Pays de la Loire to present in the castle on the Rentilly estate its XXIeme ateliers internationaux, which have just ended at Carquefou. As a major rendez-vous devoted to all kinds of art created by young artists, which started in 1984 at the Abbaye de Fontevraud, the Frac Pays de la Loire International Workshops have helped to bring many artists to light, some of them nowadays widely recognized in the art scene. For the first time, a new visibility attaching to this event is proposed to the public, for what will be the second section of the 2008/2009 event devised by Yoann Gourmel, the invited curator. Through this novel collaboration, the Frac Île-de-France is extending a programme supporting contemporary art in all its forms and encouraging access to it, for as many people as possible.
