Judith Bernstein (b. 1942, Newark, New Jersey), based in New York City, is one of the most provocative artists of her generation, who expresses cultural, political and social critique in her work. In the early 70's she became known with her monumental charcoal drawings of phalluses in all shapes and she was a member of the Guerilla Girls and the Art Workers' Coalition. Judith Bernstein studied at the Pennsylvania State University and at Yale School of Art.
