Carl Andre (born 1935 in Quincy, Massachusetts) is one of the 20th century's greatest sculptors and together with Donald Judd and Robert Morris a leading figure of Minimalism. He studied at Phillips Academy, Andover / Mass with Patrick Morgan and at Kenyon College, Gambier / Ohio.
